Well it makes sense to make an updated version of the iPad 3 with a lightning port so if for the holidays you get an iPhone AND iPad (I would love to be that person...), the cables will be the same

http://web.archive.org/web/20011114225951/www.apple.com/ipod/ it's amazing how far we have come.

Hmm I can see leaving it slightly crushed but not powdery and coat chicken breast in it, then fry it in a little oil... that will either smoke and burn or be the greatest chicken dish EVER... I think I need to try this.

there's a standalone street view app for the iPhone out right now... it works decently well and is free.

Yeah, but lets be honest, even if I had to pay for a movie, I'd be doing the same thing anyway. $8 or $9 for a movie soda and popcorn isn't so bad.

This is like the only perk of Cablevision- they have Optimum Rewards with free movie tickets on Tuesday. It's only at Clearview Cinemas which usually are crappy, but for movies where graphics don't matter, it's nice.

The update actually installed automatically for me. i got dialog popup message last night saying new carrier settings have been downloaded, restart the phone for it to be installed

I have this and it works great with an iPad and charges an older iPhone extremely fast. The only issue with it is it does not lock into the port so comes out easily.

np... here's the link for the app once the Jailbreak is ready.

A few other things missed that I want to mention...

Tethering is possible- cost depends on the carrier (Verizon includes it with the Share Everything plan, AT&T requires it separately, Sprint, the internet is too slow for it to matter). There are no free apps unless you jailbreak (which apparently will be possible soon)... then you can use MiWi.

Nice. I can totally imagine a Fisher Price version with sound effects and like sesame street or Dora characters or something

I always thought it would adorable/awesome to make a kid version of Beer Pong but with like, Apple Juice or water or something. Have a plastic table for it and it would teach hand eye coordination and planning ahead.

That app works great on the iPhone, but it kinda stinks on the iPad since there is no way to make it full screen- it just stays in a tiny little window a little smaller than an iPhone screen. I still have it on the iPad though because it's better than nothing

This just seems like it will lower the battery life for no apparent good reason

Is that what books looked like before Kindles, Nooks, and iBooks? Neat. /s

ebay. it helps pay for the new phone :-). Especially with AppleCare I don't need to worry about having an emergency phone while I send my current phone in for repair.

The thing is, considering a lot of the lousy experience is coming from the maps data, which doesn't even come from Apple but TomTom, which has been making GPS's and maps for years (and says something about the quality of tomtom... next time someone needs a GPS, i'm recommending Garmin), would one year of made a

I think the people who think the phone is so light, which means it will break easier are the same people that think SUV's are safer because they are bigger. It's all about build construction.

Are they serious? I love how light it is! Easier on the wrists and I don't FEEL like I am carrying a smart phone (cue the Apple haters...). It is really nice.
