Here we have ANPR (automated number plate recognition) camera on busy roads and in police cars that check for insurance, tax and mot and if the vehicle doesn’t have them it’s seized and impounded.
Opel was a real car company before ‘Muricans ruined it... See Volvo, SAAB, Jaguar, etc.
I had a TDI that could automatically detect if it was on rollers so it could go into a special mode to pass the emissions test.
I’m not crazy, but my LOW PRICES are!!!
Hey, If I could afford a McLaren, I’d definitely jump on a sweet 570S, but Lotus has always been the pure driving experience I’d miss after owning a McLaren for a few months. I can appreciate them both for what they do, but Lotus stick to their Colin Chapman ethos !
They still make cars that are more fun and pure to drive than almost every 6 figure or below car. I’d rather have a part’s bin Lotus with a Camry engine to drive than a modern day Ferrari or McLaren.
Crack Pipe
Are you kidding me ? The answer to the Alfa Romeo 4C is always going to be LOTUS. For the sake of daily drive ability, I recommend a used Lotus Evora 2+2 with a proper manual gearbox instead. There’s many for sale under $45,000 like the link below:
You can see the mechanical bits and modified exhaust at the start of the video. It’s clearly a developed S4.
An honorable mention: get a Porsche 968.
I see an opportunity to troll the hell out of Porsche with a GT3 paint-to-sample request.
Better a car than a concrete block, which is the normal test payload.
IDK enough about supercharging to know if that’s true or not but it sounds perfectly cromulent to me.
That sound is the head gasket warning chime from the car.
Actually Alex is Australian.
Definitely a false flag operation.
This is clearly Jalopnik’s office parking lot, they just popped the hoods open.
It’s a car that everyone’s dad bought, and it’s a car that my dad bought. But after a lifetime of shitty GM and Rootes products, it was a miracle of quality and design. Dull, sure , but dad-focused and designed, and ultimately a winner
Triumph were positioned mid way between Rover and Jaguar. A range of stylish executive sedans and a smart range of affordable sports cars. More exiting than Rover, without the ‘bankrobber/bookie’ image Jaguar sometimes suffered from.
