I watch it every week, but I'm not entirely on board. It's a great show. But I don't love it, or feel the affection for it that I do other shows, even shows that aren't this quality.

Maybe TNT needs a new slogan, like "On TNT our shows are DY-NO-MITE!!!"

At the time he seemed like an unholy melding of Jason Priestly and Luke Perry, but I guess your theory could work. Though all I remember about the OC now is how fast that series nosedived from being "the new 90210" that everyone seemed to like as cheesy fun, to being hated by just about everyone within the span of

What does he even usually play? It seems like it's been years since he's even been in anything, much less one of his surreal 90s comedies.

How odd that neither one knew the other enjoyed such arcane exotic things as the taste of champagne.

Even if they do it, it probably won't have much effect. Consider that Herschel lost his leg but still seems to have 100% of the mobility he had before.

I could see a teenager today being familiar with that song, you encounter iconic music from the past in many different ways. The reference I can't believe people (not just Family Guy) are still going to is the 70s/80s action show intro parody. Besides being a really, really old and tired gag, that kind of stuff has

"I'm adequate to *do* any sort of a task, but I'm not adequate just to *be* a human being. "

Was Kalinda's accent slipping more than usual? She seemed to be almost-Britishing a lot of words tonight and I don't remember her doing that before.

Are you saying that because of the 11 minute brooding montage to Katey Segal singing Skynard's "What's That Smell?"

Seriously…

There's a really short list of side businesses that the public will tolerate from middle-aged rockers. Hot sauce, tequila and party boat cruises seem to be kind of okay. Hawking term life insurance and being spokesmen for Tea Party candidates, not so much.

The weird thing to me is this is nothing new, it just used to be weird little headshops and not-quite-up-to-Spencers Gifts-standards t shirt stores on boardwalks that would sell bootleg t shirts. Now it's major chains.

As far as exploitation goes, I'd put that show with the midget 3 year old beauty queen (I'll assume it's called Baby Dolly or something, I'm not even going to look it up) at about a 9.6, and writing a book that 10,000 people might read somewhere around a 2. Possibly 2 points below actually hosting a midnight screening

I'm of two minds on the funniness of this show. In one way, I think it's like Reno 911 but played completely straight (cops go on patrol and find series of wacky or whacked out people enacting scenes.) Of course Southland also adds the element of sadness porn like tragic people in over-the-top, no-win situations (e.g.

I can completely see the reaction to simply stand by and not help, as jumping into the fray is quite likely to piss the cops off and get you arrested. Plus you don't know if a gun, taser or pepper spray is coming out, etc.

I'd like to see David Mitchell and John Hodgman go on an adventure together. Ideally one in a former colonial possession where they wear a lot of white linen suits. Oh, and there needs to be a lot of riddles, and David Mitchell needs to be inflicted with some sort of shaman's curse.

Of course they do. It's of vital importance that we see the same commercial for some vague and weird charity we don't even understand four times in a half hour.

Everything declines, including your own body, you rapidly aging hipster. The last seasons wasn't its peak, but as far as valleys go it's still a wonderful piece of show and miles beyond "desperate."

Hmm.. Just thinking here.. Morgan… at home… alone… Setting up a series of Looney Tunes by way of Viet Cong booby traps… Is there something here?
