I am reverse commute so the toll road isn’t that bad. I pay about $3.50 each way and there is almost never traffic on the pay portion. The slowest traffic is going 55 and most cars travel much faster.

Almost all the toll lanes here are electronic only. A few are not, but you’d only be able to drive a mile or two for that amount of shrapnel.

Some day we will have the fine adjustments that will allow me to take my normal commute (via the Dulles Toll Road) but also avoid the 495 and other toll express lanes.
