Humanity is the one species that can avoid natural selection by technology and legislation.

@jonnythan: Yeah I went back and checked the market this morning and it was there. I guess I was an early bird.

@p8ball4life: Yes, you found the BETA under BETA. You won't find the full release there though.

@jamjen: and summer solstice. with hippie non-bird-strangling 6pack holders even.

Wow there's some serious foreign beer snobs up in this bitch.

I'd like to see a Young Lady's Illustrated Primer app.

@Wwhat: Eye tracking is an option, but it adds weight and complexity to the "pair of glasses". So does a variable focus mechanism—especially if it's automatic.

@Ryan Hanks: Sure, because everything out the window is more than a few dozen meters away (or so the pilots hope!) and accommodation for 50 meters to infinity is pretty close. but having your virtual image at infinity and your eyes focused at 3 feet leaves you with a blurry double hud image.

making AR "glasses" is not a matter of DARPA funding. It's a matter of the limitations of optics that focus the virtual image at the right place. You can't focus it both at 3 feet and 300 feet.
