Does the new version support MCE remotes natively? Last version I checked didn't and I don't really have the urge to install a third party program that maps the keys, etc.

Well, the niche is you get direct file copying with potentially no file size limits. The advantage with their method is that it's a one time only transaction. You know you're not leaving your file lying around in the ether.

I've been using the "Track Package" Firefox extension ( [addons.mozilla.org] ) and seems to me to be more convenient than this. Although "Simple Tracking" does provide more bells and whistles. Are these programs mentioned in the comments section (and Networx itself) tracking just the traffic on the installed PC and not the entire LAN?

AVG free may be better than Norton (home) or McAfee's products in terms of scanning, but I find its cleaning utility to be sub-par. It starts crapping out a lot of times when trying to remove certain trojans.

I've been using www.myhq.com since the late 90's and it has always served me well. I just use firefox as a backup and is then populated to my different computers via google's browser sync app.

The feature I'd like is Vista's ability to configure volume settings per application. I'd like to lower the audio on my browser especially when you run into those annoying websites with silly flash introductions with their oh-so-swank music.

Regarding the Thunderbird questions: You can use a program called MozBackup to backup your Thunderbird profile as well as Mozilla/Firefox ones.

I'm assuming since IMAP is now implemented (not on my account! GRR!), I can upload messages to my gmail account now! Woohoo! Can't wait!

One thing that I know that gets out cigarette/cigar odor after a night of having people over: leave an exposed bowl of vinegar in the problem areas. Worked well :)
