This appears to be a case of a victim of domestic abuse killing her child (before committing suicide) not because she wanted to harm him, but because she wanted to spare him from suffering even greater harm. No, we don’t know that for sure, but circumstantial evidence suggests as much.

Are they sure that there was no foul play? If there were no witnesses other than people who heard “thuds,” how do they immediately know this was mental health and suicide?
