Yes, you should always use your mirrors, but these things have already saved a lot of lives. Mirrors can’t usually see toddlers right behind the car. Long overdue in my opinion.

Yeah that actually looks good. 1 million times better than the first gen Porsche Panamera.

That’s what gets mine bent out of shape.

lmao, thank you for the perspective. Pretty much all cars today are smaller than they were in the 1960's. Pickup trucks on the other hand...

I have nostalgia for Malaise Era cars. This is pristine, though a shitbox. $3k is right at the edge of “fuck it” money.

The ones who hesitate and delay jumping to their deaths clearly don’t want to die, just for someone to give them some glimmer of hope for their lives. I hope the guy gets some good help and looks back on this as the lowest point in his life.

Because Japanese cars of that era were MILES ahead of the domestic stuff. The gap has narrowed, but my God was it huge during the Malaise era.

His first teenage fender bender would be a fatality. At least get your kid something with airbags and ABS.

$6,500 is still too high. I’d pay about $3k.

Just the Malaise Era?

The worst shifting vehicle I’ve ever driven was that FCA 9-speed in the Cherokee. It kind of soured me on the “more gears is more” argument. A Soviet tractor is smoother shifting than that thing.

I just hate four cylinders...sure there are some special varieties, but most of them sound like a fucking Soviet tractor to me. V8's are very hard to come by anymore in moderately priced cars (that aren’t shitty FCA products) so we’re pretty much screwed.

I agree. After driving throughout Ireland I feel roundabouts to be a much more efficient system. I really don’t understand why we don’t use them in suburban/rural areas here.

When you have cool shit like Skodas, Dacias, SEATs, etc., you’re not going to settle for a Chevrolet.

Still better looking than the current Prius

Thanks.

Is this show any good? It obviously never made it down to Texas, but I’m sure I could find it.

Just think that someone out there paid $29K for a Cruze hatchback. Let that marinate for a moment.

With the taxes that people in NYC pay, why can’t they do better? I get it in low-tax places in the South (we don’t get shit because we don’t pay shit), but where’s all the money going?

Yeah, I can’t believe that either. That’s a stretch for an Avalon IMO.
