that certainly got off to an excellent start. i particularly thought the physical presence of black lightning worked- in his civilian role, he seemed to hunch down a little bit, like he was trying to minimize his actual size. when he was in his costume, he seemed to stand up straighter and throw his shoulders back,

And Johnny Cash’s widow stopping a hemorrhoid cream from using Ring of Fire. Yes, that’s a real thing that happened.

We have to go back!

the frozen donkey wheel of story arcs

Either! Both!

No. FUCK no.

Lost is fine the way it is. I loved the ending, by the way. Don’t at me.

Add Season 3 of The Expanse and Season 2 of Legion.

It’s an old term for a psychiatrist.

How the fuck is Legion Season 2 not on this list? I demand a recount!

I was so happy to see Mac’s shotgun axe go into the stash! He’s been taking a lot of crap in the future, and it’s good to see he’s going to be reunited with an old friend.

Yeah. I’m hoping that the fact that Fitz is not happy about being good at shooting people, because of the memory of how he got those skills, will also mean it’ll become more of a “Fitz will do this if absolutely required but otherwise would be much happier in the lab, thank you very much” situation.

how nonchalant Polly was about all of this was kinda freaking me out.

Nancy-totally awesome with the red hot poker. Joyce and Nancy in the cabin turning up the heat is my favorite part of the episode

Also really loved Hopper’s teary-eyed, apologetic call to Eleven from his truck in this episode. “And I want you to eat all the peas, even if they’re mushy and gross...”

The Duffers have mentioned that they had Schnapp read some “possessed Will” scenes during the audition process, so they weren’t going into it totally blind. Even so, they seem as astounded by his work this year as anyone else. It’s amazing how many times they hit the casting jackpot.

Welcome to the pantheon of creepy horror kid, Noah/Will: it’s a career dependent on how puberty works out, but you are a welcomed addition. Makes me wonder how much of Noah Schnapp’s casting was based on a possible sequel/scenes that had Will Meyers in the world and how much was

I really loved Finn Wolfhard’s hilarious and subtle little look of pride that possessed Will remembered who he was exactly. No luck for Dr Owens or Hopper, but Mike was remembered and even in times of horror, Mike had a second to be pleased about that.

Oh, and the scene where Paul Reiser threateningly tells the other doctors to “say that to me again” in regards to letting Will die was the moment I finally realized that Paul Reiser was not a corporate villain a la Aliens, which really surprised me given the just multitude of Aliens references this season.

I’ve seen the whole series, and that dynamic plays out (and is explicitly mentioned) a few more times. It’s a great relationship, though something about the way Jonathan looks is very distracting to me. He looks MUCH older than the rest of the high schoolers, and that wig or whatever he’s wearing is terrible.
