I loved the show Roswell as a kid/early teen and in an interview Heigl did she said she hated doing the show and wanted out, but she was under contract. So to rebel, she showed up late to work which is a shitty thing to do when there is a crew working there who isn’t making the same kind of money.

i love that this is on netflix right now. i made thetallbrunette watch it and he...did not enjoy it, but i enjoyed his non-enjoyment so much!

This is the best, most confusing movie I’ve ever watched. I did not understand the high school cafeteria BDSM catwalk strut when I saw it ten years ago; I don’t get it now.

My favorite work in the Heigl oeuvre is probably the 1996 TV film Wish Upon a Star.

She’ll get better work sooner or litter.

Uh huh. Uh huh. Well, my body isn’t gonna produce children at any age, so whatever. Evo Psych can suck it.

When I was in college and significantly older men hit on me, I would put on my best fake-innocent voice and say, "I know you. Didn't you go to school with my dad?" It would send them scurrying away with their tails between their legs.

I met HRC once, on my 21st birthday. I was working at a Clinton Foundation fundraiser at the Museum of Natural History in NYC. They hadn’t told us anything about how the Clintons would enter and I just assumed they would come in the back through some super secret door or something.

The idea is that Clinton has become a political rock star, but I also saw this as a dramatization of how people think women are preordained to act around Clinton.

I acknowledge that people are incredibly beautiful between 18 and 25. But, I’m not, like, attracted to them anymore. That’s what confuses me. The desire to be with people that young. As I get older, what I’m attracted to is no longer confined exclusively to what they look like. And, I feel like that is basically a

“Also something I never noticed...Hillary has the nicest smile.”

The older I get, the more convinced I am that there’s something fundamentally wrong with men who continue insisting that 18-year-old women are the most attractive women.

This essay is amazing!

There is a lot I can agree with here, on the subject of doing good and do-gooders. (And coincidently I have a cousin who’s worked with Engineers Without Borders in Malawi - he’s blogged about some of this.) But the part where “anti-traffickers” are all clueless do-gooders? No. Some of those anti-traffickers are people

Actually, there are studies that show a lot of the “false accusations” of rape are deemed false by law enforcement after the woman refuses to go forward. When examined by neutral third parties, a lot of them are accusations the woman recanted because the police treated her so poorly and didn’t believe her.

This definitely. And it’s a clever move on his part to show, “look even these assholes won’t approve what most of them would consider to be a ‘best possible choice’ candidate”. So yeah, good luck idiots with whatever liberal justice Hillary nominates.

Oh, my god, can you imagine the collective conniption fit of the Republicans in Congress if President Hillary Clinton nominated Former President Barak Obama for the Supreme Court? Holy shit.

“Look I should clarify,” Rowland said. “I’m not saying we don’t have rapes in this county, not at all! But let’s say hypothetically the girl is 17. And a slut! And the guy hypothetically is really powerful. Are you following? Let’s say he’s the president of the United States or I don’t know, just spitballing here, a

Yep. The majority of the retractions aren’t “I was raped, jk just said that for fun!”... they might be more like, “I was raped, now I’m ostracized in this small town, my parents think I’m sullied and dirty, and I’m getting harassed by people who think it’s impossible that the rapist could do such a thing.”

“ Things just went too far and someone got scared”
