omg stop
find me an example. don’t tell me what they ‘would’ do, because they’ve already done this to hillary. if it’s truly equal, there should be a million examples. there aren’t.
fair enough to the other three, but I don’t think changing your mind over the course of fifteen years can really be considered ‘flip-flopping.’ it’s called reconsidering your stance and changing your mind. it happens (if you’re an emotionally mature, reasonably intelligent person).
when you call them ‘straw bros,’ you are, indeed, saying that they don’t exist. I don’t think anyone here’s said that they comprise the majority of sanders supporters, either, but they definitely exist and there are enough of them that I’m concerned.
kindly don’t shut people up just because you don’t like what they have to say. just because you’ve ‘never met’ these people doesn’t mean they don’t exist.
hate to break it to you, but I’ve talked to several people who claim they wouldn’t vote for clinton, should she get the nomination over sanders. I’m not looking to vilify sanders supporters, but these people definitely exist. sorry.
I’m quite sure Democrats will vote for a Democrat, regardless of who it is.
Men who rape and beat women don’t get sentences like this.
yes, considering she feels she did nothing wrong and probably won’t hesitate to rape someone else under the guise of ‘true love’?
actually, given mandatory waiting times, finding travel to and from a clinic (and possible multiple trips; see ‘mandatory waiting times,’), financial burden, having to take multiple days off work, possibly having to find childcare ... it’s not. safer and less painful, yes. but easier? not by a long shot.
‘who didn’t use the first 6 months to get an abortion’
it’s like you didn’t even read my post. try again.
there’s nothing wrong with encouraging victims to report their attackers (although it’d be even better if we could promise a more effective system ...). the problem is when the blame gets shifted back onto the victims for not reporting (the ‘if you had reported him, he wouldn’t have been able to attack anyone else’…
yeah, but that’s not any better. there are plenty of reasons why someone wouldn’t report/take action, and making them feel like they’re weak or stupid or deserving of victimization for making that choice isn’t helpful,
no, because I know too many women who’ve been emotionally manipulated into recanting their (true) accusations to take this at face value. sorry.
you’re right, it’s definitely better to bury our heads in the sand and stay ignorant. that usually goes well.
where do you live that this wasn’t covered?
okay, you realize she was using cake as a stand-in for something not necessarily healthy but an occasional guilt-free indulgence, right? it doesn’t have to be cake specifically. I hate cake, too, but I like pizza, and chips, and cookies, and her point was that you should be able to have those things once in a while…
