I have to admit that, while I’m watching both shows, I’ve been debating about killing one or both from my viewing pleasure. Of the two, Killjoys is the more enjoyable and better acted. I find Humans and Mr. Robot far superior shows.
No, I haven’t been bored with either show - I’m sticking with the recaps, and I’m generally satisfied with the show at large. Last week’s episode had some disappointing content, but I do like the throw-back feel that I get with watching these.
Haha no we didn’t all lie next to all the carts the whole time....i just decided to do that to see what would happen a couple times...and it worked! :)
Presumably, the “What Does the Fox Say” thing is related to the briefly popular song.
“But, Grandma: how does anybody know this stuff? Everybody was killed, and according to you the main guy was never seen again, so... Grandma, this is an incredibly poor narrative, and I say that as a consumer of children’s stories. I mean, if this was pure fable then that would be fine, but apparently we’re in some…
Best line: “Things move fast now, babe. Someone hit the fucking warp drive and I’m trying to navigate through the blur.”
she is Olivia Munn/Psylocke
If he could stop the grabboids, I’m sure he can handle whatever this is.
They’re sector governors.
Similar to a military governor like MacArthur in Japan but long term. It’s the closest I can think of in modern times.
They’re just admirals. Or space Nazi SS admirals.
There’s definitely several BB cartoons featuring Native Americans, most probably would be banned for various reasons ie Geronimo in that particular episode was totally wrong being Chiricahua, which would be offensive to some at least being portrayed as what looks more like Sioux than any Apache.
Horse Hare is the episode I think, also has Yosemite Sam as the fort CO.
Well, yeah. Did you see The Red Hood animated Batman movie? It was extremely violent and people were straight-out murdered.
Best part was one of my students asked if Thor’s name was Hammer Time.
Science. In that instance, it was the half day Wednesday before Thanksgiving and there weren’t any actual classes because we were having a school Thanksgiving feast. So the kids spent 2 hours in their home rooms eating and hanging out, I put on the movie in the background and we just chilled for the day.
I just rewatched the Wonder Woman animated movie and the opening battle scene, while badass, is actually pretty graphic. It didn’t bug me when I saw it in college, but later I considered showing it to my middle school students and had to reconsider.
None? I mean, I think that’s the point that they’re darker/more for adults. Bruce Timm’s Gods and Monsters universe that has been building this year is supposed to push that even more so (the shorts so far have included both sex near/on dad bodies, corpse mutilation, and child death). It’s a bit like anime; people see…
Animated doesn’t automatically mean for kids.
