That’s assuming that retail stores even stock a digital-only system. They’re going to try and get as many people to buy the disc based machines as possible. Doing otherwise will just hasten the demise of companies like Gamestop.

As someone who worked at gamestop a long time, I guarantee they will do everything they can to get people not to buy the digital only xbox.

Stop it. For Iron Banner, new raids, Nightfalls, new dungeons, Gambit, new public events if they are implemented like this season’s, it will be “completely obsolete.” For anybody excited about playing new content its “completely obsolete.”

Bungie has been a purely MMO “Looter-Shooter” studio for almost a decade now (including dev time) and it amazes me how they still seem to cock up so often on player retention and lifespan issues.

While I get the idea behind sun-setting and why Bungie feel like they need to do it, in practice it sucks. As it is, everything in my current loadout is capped at 1060, so it’ll eventually all be completely obsolete, which is total bullshit and flies in the face of their own “play however you like” line from a while…
