The only friendly parts of the game are the good private servers. Officials are complete dumpster fires and the only people who play officials are people with no lives and disgusting personalities. As stated, avoid officials like the plague.

The one thing the game does better than any of its predecessors is the banter while traveling. There are relatively complex relationships between your crewmates that you don’t experience unless you pair them and listen.

GTAIV was my favorite as well, by far. Especially with the fantastic DLC.

I like it better than V which tried too hard to be funny and offensive (Trevor overtakes Navi as the most annoying character of all time). Obviously, the graphics don’t hold up as well, and Niko sounds like the robot from Short Circuit, but I prefer this game.

I’ve played them all and GTA IV is my favorite. I just wish you could rebind the shit default PC helicopter controls (you still couldn’t last time I played it). Whoever chose that scheme has no fucking idea what they are doing.

Whenever I read about GTA IV it makes me sad that the Ballad of Gay Tony is probably the last great piece of GTA DLC that we will ever see.

I’m surprised you feel the city is tiny. While it doesn’t have the vast open countryside of GTA V, the city is a similar size and due to the layout (4 distinct islands) actually feels a bit larger than V’s Los Santos.

I agree with you. The slow build up was really enjoyable for the start of 4, I think story wise it was the best out of the lot.

I still love this game! It’s a lot better than people give it credit for.
