FYI: it started in 1981 when their cars actually started to be built like tanks. If not for the SVX the Golden age would have ended in 1991.  SVX added about 5 years to it.

Why impose a $4 tax and not a tax/tariff that would increase out of town burgers to the local costs?  Give the locals a shot to compete.  Not a reason to gouge.

Shouldn’t tariffs bring the cheaper import prices UP to the domestic higher prices leveling the playing field a bit?  Then buyers have a reason to shop around. Sorry....thought that was the idea behind tariffs. Not to inflate the import prices enormously and pass the domestic prices by a huge margin effectively…

Wrangler (jeeps in general) have the weird ability to be at highest resale value AND highest cost of ownership/repair costs. Pretty sure the net loss would put them in a far lower position if factored in that way.

WHY would you do this to a Porsche?  Those 944 engines are bulletproof. You can find better examples unmolested for less $$$.
