If you roll them each in a paper towel and dampen it you can get away with microwaving them if you are trying to feed kids quickly. But its better to grill them in bulk/freeze and reheat them in the oven. Searing them in a pan of onions also beats the boil.

Most ovens are based on radiant heat very few are convection. Though usually smaller and higher maintenance, convection ovens are fast and make great fluffy baked goods and puts crispy crusts on meats.
