I can accept a remake of a great film if it gets an important work back in front of audiences that won’t bother with old films.

I’ll never understand why celebs are willing to do this show, it’s flat out painful. I saw a snippet of the show that focused in on Timberlake, and he truly looked miserable. Is this show really that important for their promotion efforts?

I fully accept Olivia’s story, but “heading to the bathroom for sinus medication” still sounds like euphemism for doing a quick line.

I’m guessing that he’s a “One out of a hundred” guy. That is, someone who propositions/exposes himself to pretty much every woman he meets. 99 of those women metaphorically spit on him, but one in a hundred says “Let’s have a go”. For some guys, that’s enough ROI to make it worthwhile.

I’ve actually found that a simple pocket that I made of aluminum foil is enough to block the signal from my fob.

My wife thinks that it’s the result of people playing video games, and carrying those behaviors over into real-life. I would dismiss that, but I remember hearing about a football player that pulled a stunt he learned from playing Madden. As he approached the goal line with no close opponent, he ran parallel to the

I find it totally reasonable that she would “just now” come out with these details. Her previous testimony was all about the day’s efforts to prevent the fair certification of the acknowledged winner of the 2020 presidential election. No one thought to ask her about the behavior of Giuliani since it wasn’t the point

Not only treating stop signs as optional, I’ve seen people pull up to a four way stop where a vehicle was already stopped at the sign in their lane, then pull into the dedicated left turn lane in order to blow past the stopped car and go straight through the intersection without stopping. Why not both?

A) these people don’t want to pay for shit.

Strong Joker energy in that first one.

Equally disappointed about Perry Mason. I haven’t seen a cable series that good for a very long time. I expect that the cost of recreating 1920s L.A. played into its cancellation.

I think that weed is implied in the food and cheer and song. At least weed is behind much of it.

The key for any and all automated toileting contraptions is to disable them upon entering the stall. I take a strip of TP and hang it over the sensor to prevent anything from happening without my express written consent.

Having seen the film The Great Santini, I’m troubled by the pilot punching out and leaving the plane to go where it will.

Several of her songs, e.g. Firework, are significant anthems for people of a certain age, and they represent a particular era of American life. I imagine that more than a few advertisers and movie/TV productions would pay well to include her songs from that era.

I only clicked into this post to defend candy corn (original). I, too, had absolutely no use for candy corn, even passing on it in my Halloween bag as a kid. But my wife introduced me to the combo, and now I have to keep it at arm’s length to avoid over-indulgence. Dry roasted peanuts are preferred, and candy corn to

It is very good. In fact, the only redeeming quality of candy corn.

It’s also the case that TCO needs to include the time of ownership. TCO for operating a vehicle for just a few years will be much lower than your Jeep or WRX, but not if the TCO is divided by years of use.

If your job is really keen on “you showing up on time”
