    This is actually not an uncommon tradition. Washington State used to get amped for big games by watching The Hurt Locker

    The dramatic version of that story made the rounds and nobody bit at it. Audiences don't really go for that kind of thing unfortunately (though apparently they didnt go for the comedic version either)

    I like to think that it will be an underhanded indictment of the lax bro lifestyle disguised as a romp... Yeah probably not but really Bay can do no wrong.

    I don't think the fact that this is a popcorn movie dooms it to "minor" status. It knows what it is and is executed admirably (especially considering how much of the script was reworked in the middle of production).     Good review. I liked the movie but wonder how many minutes were left on the cutting room floor. It feels a little trim even at 1:55. Will be interested to see if an extended Hillcoat cut comes out on the dvd
