Would it be nice if I could buy one super console and play everything? Sure, but there isn't.

Yea, it almost is as if both companies desperately want money. And with good reason; both companies have proven they have no idea how to make a product that is successful in today's conscientiousness market. As such both companies are very much struggling at the moment, and their plans for the next gen consoles may

I had heard wild for a while now that the ps4 and the xbox720 was going to be the same machine; a collaboration between Sony and Microsoft to produce a single device capable of running both psn and xbox live as well as all the games for each platform. It seems the stories are mostly true; while it won't be the exact

You sound exactly like the kind of inept management that runs companies into the ground releasing rehashed hollywood movie tie-ins year after year.

If I was in a game development office for an interview, I would show them the critically acclaimed open source games I have designed and developed, and let my works stand on their own merits.

You didn't RTFM, but instead you ragequit? Good riddance. If you were not willing to put a bit of effort into an open world pvp-only game like that you were never going to be good at it, so you were never going to be anything more then dead weight to your team anyway.

I agree with almost everything here, as I take great pains to ensure my code is visually pleasing to look at and easy to read. I do however have a few differing viewpoints. My main pet peeve is trailing whitespace. The first thing I do whenever I open a new source file is delete all the trailing whitespace.

I thought Sucker Punch was a great movie. But then again, the last movie I went to see in a theater was "The Fountain" by Darren Aronofsky, and my favorite movie of all time is "The Holy Mountain" by Alexandro Jodorowsky.

Haven't you ever read Alexandro Jodorowsky's Technopriests? The role of the Technopriest is not to enrich people's lives by making fun games that bring enlightenment and provide enjoyment to the masses, but rather to enslave the masses and keep them docile by creating addictive games to make people waste time that

If you've got it, flaunt it...

Consider that it is often said that participating in simulated violence while playing video game produces the same chemicals in the user's brain as actually engaging in the violent act in the real world.
