Yep. Deal with it, hipster-hater.

Isn't John Carter in the public domain?
It's a sport, because it's not an endurance test. You aren't racing to see how far you can go before you drop dead, unlike those other activities I mentioned. You may still drop dead, but the point is not to see how far you can run, but how fast within a specified period of time. Racing !=Endurance Tests
With regards to the Bible, it is very easy to argue against religious fundamentalists by pointing out errors in the Bible.
There is an argument that the recent ACA decision striking down a key part of it (although it was upheld in another court) was based on a typo:
Freediving is a "sport" in the same way as David Blaine's being buried alive, standing in a block of ice or standing on a pillar for 35 hours is a "sport". It's interesting and impressive, but feats of endurance are just that and nothing more.
They taste delicious, that's for sure.
No, none of these movies need to be made for real.
What about team Fish or team Bird?
Caught up in court? Hoe so? Their website says they are due to begin groundbreaking very early 2015...
Wondercon moved to Anaheim because the Moscone center in SF did not want them there; they were not bringing enough business to the area, believe it or not.
You ar aware that the convention center is building a new center right next door starting next year that will double the space?
Yes, because it showed what sci-fi can be from an actual literature standpoint. Almost every book on this list pales in comparison to the actual writing in those books.
Yes, I agree. Any one of these three books should be here. Also, I would like to add David Brin's The Postman. The movie left a bad taste in people's mouth, but his work certainyl inspired a lot of other dystopian storytellers, and there are numerous books and TV shows today that owe that book a great debt.
Sorry, the Windup-Girl shouldn't be on here. It's a great book, no doubt about it, but it's not groundbreaking. It's basically a semi-dystopian Thailand with a girl who has special powers. Big deal. It's good, but not groundbreaking.
I did not need to know that. :-(
His beard is waaaaay too pedestrian for Portland.
I noticed this. They really do think the life they may find must be pretty advanced, or these guys may have explored further out from the moon than we thought:
Remember folks...the convention center is expanding. The size will double in the next year. Groundbreaking is early next year. Seriously. Presumably this will alleviate a lot of the line issues and I will be able to attend once again! Check it out...
Sure, although those words could be made up out of whole cloth, or the words of a man and not a God.
