Very solid list! I recommend ‘Year Walk’ and especially ‘The Last Door’ for people who like to get creeped out.
‘Breath of the Wild’ showed me more than any other game how much an open world or very long games hinge on the narrative. For me it’s one of the most boring titles I have played in my 30 years of gaming.
I’m really late to the party, but from what I’ve read so far I’m sure I’d enjoy the game a lot.
I’d like to remember ‘Eternal Sonata’, ‘Infinite Undiscovery’, ‘Last Remnant’ and the three ‘Risen’ games. Just because Microsoft completely forgot about them and their potential for backwards compability.
Hmm... Will the game be gone when the license expires or can we expect an updated version later?
I love this game(s). I just hope lomg time players can get an offline option, should the servers ever close.
I saw this very pretty picture and somehow ‘Welcome to Hanamura’ popped into my mind.
Sooo... any chance of a PS4 release? God, I love Suda51's games!
Gha... so I’ll buy Yakuza 5 a third time? Oh well, at least they’re all on one console, then.
You can get the game relatively cheap by now and the matchmaking is quite well suited to pair you up with people on your skill level. There are also enough training modes to let you find the character you handle well at first. Right now is a pretty good time to start as the Anniversary Event also features two story…
For me it’s more of an unknowing process. There are a lot of games I enjoy and definitely want to finish, but then there’s soooo much stuff that distracts you with new shiny toys that sometimes I don’t even realize I haven’t played a title for more than six months.
So we’ll finally get an english... version of... nevermind.
Small texts become an ever increasing problem for me. Wasteland 2 is almost unplayable for me because of this. I like/love text heavy games like Numenera or Pillars of Eternity, but I always fear the small fonts before buying. God of War and Titan Quest on console being some prime examples of how not to do text.
Corpse Run reminded me of the many times I startet an RPG over again after the intro...
The inclusion of geralt almost made me preorder, when I remembered I swore to myself to wait for a review of the story mode first. Not going to throw out money for two hours of fan fiction. Now, ten hours of fan fiction...
I found Breath of the Wild to be an excess of disappointment. I hate survival games and am not very fond of crafting and cooking stuff in games. Got plenty of that with a side dish of as little story as possible.
If they aren’t adjusted asap, the current mechanics of AAA publishing will lead to its downfall. Destiny 2 is a prime example of how a high profile company views its game as service and cash cow first and its player base second.
Yeah, I’d love a Warcraft 4, too, but seeing an HD version of Warcraft 3 would be fine. Perhaps Blizzard could be convinced to exchange the old models for their WoW versions? That would be neat :D
Errr... congrats? I mean, you could complete the game about four times in 210 hours, but... congrats?
