I know that there is a fair in Hannover that is also called “Oktoberfest” but “Oktoberfest” as name for huge fairs isn’t really common in Germany, due to the fact that those fairs are pretty “old” and born from the historical background of the cities…

Especially ‘cause it looks so much like the german “Eierstich” (Egg Royale / Custard Royale) we use in soups all the time, just with asian flavor (mirin, soy sauce) instead of the usual used milk and spices...

That was the first thing that came to my mind too. There are some more examples of “translation issues” in the early episodes of Dragonball aren’t there? Though i can’t remember all of them or explicitr name them i kinda recall some name changes of attacks and items while the series was going on. ^^
