That’s the ONLY game they watch....once the WC is over, you go back to having 6,000 in attendance for some of the top teams.
The NWSL would welcome the idea of competing on wages with foreign clubs as the US invests A LOT more than the europeans into women’s soccer.....I think forcing the women into the NSWL is their attempt to keep the best at home so they can grow the home league with all the stars and is not pay related.
If they bring in more revenue then the men, pay them more. Absolutely. Pay each a set % of what they bring in and have at it!
Because some of the top teams have lost to high school boys....it’s happened to the Aussies (when they were #5 at the time) and to the USWNT. Sorry, the play is nowhere near as fun to watch as the mens teams. It will always be a niche sport.

The reason they can pay the women so well in tennis is because it’s incredibly popular on its own. I would bet they generate a massive amount of money on their own even without the mens field playing at the same time.

From my understanding, the men only get paid if they play in the games and the women are given more of a salary. So, a lot of the men don’t get paid for their USMNT service.
