it would piss of JJ to no end though.....so it might?

WAZE is your friend...

We still sure it’s a $100,000? I figured it would be $250,000 or more.

In no way is Purdue a top 5 university unless you count actuarial sciences, which no one does, or are counting against other schools in the state  - they are 56 according to US News. And the fact they take so many foreign students is probably because they HAVE to since no one else wants to go to shitty Indiana.

Do PO Boxes not exist anymore? Or only where I live? Very useful at accepting packages and notifying you to come pick them up. Solves ALL kinds of mail problems.

Also, it looks like a receiver is about to break past his defender and be WIIIIDDDDEEE open right when he decides to turfs the ball. Very weird. I think it was a designed, delayed screen and the RB was covered in a sea of lineman so he turfs it.....had he looked up, certain TD.

That chart doesn’t show what you think it does and contradicts itself over the course of 7 recessions. At some points it drops before the recession, in others it still rising immediately leading up to the recession and then drops off a cliff unexpectedly.

Throw a little water into the pan to test for heat...if it sizzles, good to go. If not, try it again in a minute or two.

When discussing equity prices, or index pricing, you should include a discussion of price multiples or your argument is disingenuous. It’s not JUST a measure of corporate profitability, it’s also a measure of how desperate people are to get a return on their money because interest rates are near 0.00% - 0.25% for a

The Dow is the worst possible barometer for how the economy is doing. It’s not a measure of economic output but rather what price people are willing to pay for future corporate earnings of the companies that make up the Dow in our current interest rate environment.

If you want to argue GDP growth, that’s fine. But at

All of that is true....but doesn’t change the fact that this hypothetical person is still unemployed and should be counted as such as they are likely to be there for a long, long time.

I’m not sure I understand your argument - the way unemployment has been calculated is wrong and we should use the other metrics that do a much better job at showing the economic picture. You could easily swap U6 for U3 or use the labor participation rate instead. There’s no need to use a flawed stat unless the point

Unemployment is low because of how they calculate unemployment. If you stopped looking for work because there are no jobs for you....you don’t count as unemployed. Until all those people get soaked up, wages will go nowhere.

This woman is a national treasure....

I don’t have time to check the US Patent office for anything submitted from Palo Alto over the past 50 years. I’m sure it will be a long and distinguished list...

That’s not the issue....the issue is they are afraid the NFL will reject them in future rights negotiations and leave for other stations (like Fox) if ESPN personalities continue to point out the flaws of the NFL. Without the NFL, ESPN is dead.

“Maybe that’s something you don’t like, maybe you do like it, but at least be honest in your assessment of why ESPN is doing what they are doing and acknowledge that thus far they’ve been reasonably consistent in their application of a standard that’s really pretty straightforward to understand.”

But this doesn’t just apply to her...it’s ANY employee at ESPN. They will not allow you to do anything to mess with the $$$$. You work there, you become a passionless robot. That’s the .... I want to say Sophie’s Choice but that’s not right.

I think people are arguing she gave up that part of her life in exchange for lots and lots of $$$$$ by joining ESPN. She didn’t have to work there but she does have to follow their rules - even if they are bullshit.

Capitalist societies are responsible for the greatest innovations ever seen in the history mankind - medicine, technology, production, etc. No other paradigm comes even close. Whatever shortcomings capitalism has, and there are many, they pale in comparison to those seen under communist/socialist regimes.
