It’s a trope. We get it. They get used and reused and remade all the time into tv shows, movies, books, whatever. Sometimes very well, sometimes not. It’s ok. That’s why we all like sci-fi. It’s fun to see how Star Trek deals with a trope differently than Doctor Who or Stargate or whatever other tv show. This looks

Ok, I’m unapologetically a dinosaur fan, but I hate contrived scenes like this. You see it in a million movies. It just doesn’t seem realistic. Not the dinos or the sfx, but the way the people are reacting and the very obvious sound stage, everything. During the credits of this short, they show quick little 2-3 second

Why do I feel like we only need to “think about the children” when it comes to rich white folks? I don’t think I’ve ever heard this being thrown around whenever black or brown person is being accused of something. I know the answer to my question, obviously.

The first few pics make the army green color look more matte but the last one shows it’s pretty shiny, and because of that, I am not as much of a fan. Anyway, as I’ve gotten older I’ve seen myself starting to embrace the more colorful... colors more. I think I would go for one of these Toyotas in their blue metallic.

I think that was the joke.. putting fake scenes in trailers that are never in the actual movie to throw the audience off from knowing too much. Ya know, just don’t put too much in the trailer to begin with. Or we as the audience could just not watch them.

I don’t need a trailer to tell me what the movie is about at all. I just want something that intrigues me. All the best trailers in the 80's and 90's were just teases and were done well. I don’t think I’ve ever noticed any ads in between trailers (like once the lights go down), like you are saying, but if I did, that

This is not any sort of endorsement of him as a person, but I just watched “First” on Hulu, a series about astronauts going to Mars, and he was good and sort of sweet in it. But, you know, he’s an actor, so he can be completely different than he is in real life. Anyway the guy is buff for being darn near 60.

Thanks! It’s been so long and I had some vague memory of D&D being a part of it.

There are whole generations (plural) that are going to be out there in the political world who grew up in the age of Facebook, Instagram, Snapchat, and yeah, there’s going to be revealing photos out there in the ether. People like Rush are just the old guard who cannot understand this. Just because you were naive (or

I didn’t really watch many of these movies, but Dream Warriors is where each of the teens have a power in their dreams that’s similar to their Dungeons & Dragons characters, right? I remember liking this one the most because of that. But I do remember watching Freddy’s Nightmares late on Saturday nights.

He’s the best. I love that he put it this way too. The man is only 63 now, which means he and his low voice were only about 40 waaay back in 1996-97 during Gargoyles. I’m in my mid 40's now and still not sure what I want to be when I grow up!

And there goes any hope I may have had for Sony possibly doing Spider-Man justice. I was thinking, maybe there’s a new head of the Comic Book Movie department, and other such important roles, who know exactly what they’re doing now and we can trust them. But this just proves otherwise. And, as much as I didn’t really

Not Dylan McDermott.

I originally bought the movie because Chemical Brothers did the soundtrack, but ended up liking the movie so I was excited to see Amazon creating a series. I can understand it seeming slow, but overall I liked the series too and am anticipating this second season.

I remembered about 20 years ago being a regular at BWW because certain nights (Tuesdays?) had $0.50 wings or something. I liked them then, maybe because I was poor. I hadn’t had them in quite some time so recently I ordered a pack of 18 with 4 different sauces. The sauces were fine, but the wings themselves just

Did you read the same article as I did? I saw no cynicism in the 5 or so short paragraphs. The writer never talked down about Milano’s attempt to change Cruz’s opinions about gun control. Just speculation on how difficult it would be to try to convince someone like him. I agree that every little attempt helps, but I

Yes, very true, but that’s only because it’s also the same level of his base supporters. They actually think his name-calling is witty. We’ve all seen those right-wing memes. The Right can’t meme.

I brought a bunch of Henry’s Hard Seltzers this past Labor Day to a pool party and thought they were pretty ok (I’m normally drinking beer). Everyone else there was drinking White Claw and didn’t even want to try one of mine. What I learned is that there’s definitely a hierarchy when it comes to which brand is

I was flipping channels last night and while MSNBC and CNN were talking about the Hurricane and the loss of life from that boat fire, Fox News, freakin’ Laura Ingram, was going off on a tweet about Trump by Will & Grace’s Debra Messing. Wanna know what famous celebrity expert she had available to rebuke said tweet?

Not sure what to say. I watched her on car shows and Mythbusters and followed her on social media. This is sad news. Rip.
