I want to predict that some day Alexandria Ocasio Cortez will be president. Yes, I know, she hasn’t even taken office yet, and we have no idea who might become popular so far from now, but dang how I dig her attitude right now. There is no way in any universe that she could be worse than Trump, that’s for sure. Anyway,

Kate, very nice to see a Boulevard beer on this list, being from KC. I always try to be sure to drink their Nutcraker Ale around this time. I haven’t had the Plaid Habit yet, but will certainly give it a try!

My family listened to this album every Christmas in the 80's and it is still a favorite between my sister and I. As far as I care, this album and the Vince Guaraldi Charlie Brown Christmas album are all that matters. Listening to these are about all the nostalgia I need.

Knight Rider, KITT, of course...

So many wrong things about this Tammy, but that was absolutely the thing that showed how far her racism has gone. She’s too far gone now with any hope of being educated. I can’t believe we live in an age where people think this way, and it’s scary.

Some car chase scenes, you see the same cars in the background... over and over. I really recall 48 Hours movie, where there was this same damn 70's station wagon in the background during this one car chase scene. Every intersection, I think it even spun out multiple times. Even the Steve McQueen famous car chase from

Escalator? I barely knew her!

And your point is fair too! Like I said, as long as I have to deal with this dreaded stop-and-go traffic everyday, a manual became too much work, and I like the automatic for this. But yes, I do understand and relish a good feeling manual, and would definitely like one for the less frequent but more fun times!

I am in my mid 40's now, but every car I’ve ever driven since I was 16- 80's Cavalier, CRX, Prelude, late 90's Cavalier (lol), lifted Ranger- have all been manuals. Fun, yes. But my 40 minute highway commute became so annoying with stop and go the entire way, both going to and coming from work. I love my Scion xB

I met a guy that said he worked for Apple. Cool, I thought! No, he just worked at one of the Apple stores in town. Wah-waaah...

This sounds awesome, and I would look at pictures of your place, lol.

Yep, exactly, same here! I’m sure I can look it up but I think there was some sort of breakup of the family and the kids of the Smokestack owners started Jackstack, right?

Yaass.. Zarda is excellent. I like this little joint off SW Blvd called Rosedale BBQ. I think Anthony Bourdain even went there (among others) when he did one of his shows from KC. But really, you can find excellent BBQ in random strip-malls.

Hi, lifelong Kansas Citian here, born, raised. I’ve worked in downtown KC for 20 years, where for the past 10 years I’ve actually been living too. I am privileged.. because I can say that I eat above average to excellent BBQ about once or twice a week, but often times more. I can’t imagine living somewhere that

He DOES kinda look like Cmdr Riker but he’s more of a Number Two.

Anyone calling a rape survivor’s private text messages bitchy is problematic.

I mean, a cruisin’ wagon is only for one thing, right? Sex. I am implying sex.

That Toyota CH-R sounds bad ass!

I want to see what this thing looks like with a camper-shell on the back.. Or when some company finally removes the bed portion and turns it into a custom SUV. Might look cool!

“...Then shalt thou count to 5, no more, no less. 5 shall be the number thou shalt count, and the number of the counting shall be 5. 6 shalt thou not count, neither count thou 4, excepting that thou then proceed to 5. 7 is right out...”
