Everyone in the comments section really do seem way too focused on the non-linear timeline despite it being a very minor part of the season.  It makes no sense to me how people can think it completely ruins the series considering its insignificance to almost every storyline.

“This finale was agonizingly slow stretching out dialogue and reactions and exposition that could have been 20 minutes shorter.”

This episode honestly had possibly the most plot development of any episode of a show I’ve ever seen, so this comment is mind blowing to me.

People in these comments seem to be way too focused on the split timeline.  It really didn’t have that much bearing on the overall plot, but for some reason people think its existence is some sort of aberration that ruins the entire series.

There were character arcs?

TIL actors get paid based on their previous work.

The Dark Knight Rises is still widely considered a good film...

He doesn’t actually take on Kylo Ren...

I would have thought destroying Star Killer Base or killing Snoke would be more likely to ignite a spark than Luke seemingly standing there and dying without putting up any resistance.

Powerful, but apparently also incompetent considering how awful his death was.

How was the rebel spark set anew? That line actually just made no sense considering basically all of the resistance was destroyed and they specifically mention that no one cared enough to help.

If that reveal didn’t shit on the setup from the previous movie I don’t think anyone would have had a problem. When you set up that she is somehow tied with Luke (e.g. Lightsaber calls to her, visions of the island and Luke’s school being destroyed) you should probably not just do a 180 degree turn just for the sake

There was actually a lot that suggested that. Kylo Ren saw it for example, Luke was also worried and was surprised when she didn’t even try resisting the call of that Dark Hole thing (and ended up going into it). She also appears to rely on anger/rage during her fights which Dark Side users say to embrace.

Luke is also shocked that Rey doesn’t even try to resist going to the Dark Side hole or whatever that nonsense was. I think if the turn didn’t happen in this film, it’s not going to happen at all, which unfortunately undercuts much of the setup of the last two films.

While I think that reveal is fine for this movie, it actually goes towards hurting The Force Awakens as a film because those setups end up not actually making any sense.

There are also several other clues. She also has a vision of the island Luke is on, as well as seeing Luke’s training area get destroyed. Maz also asks “Who’s the girl” as though it’s significant. When BB8 is saved, Kylo Ren is told that they had help from a girl, then he gets very angry and says “What girl!?” as

The Last Jedi was probably the most disappointing film I’ve ever seen. I’m honestly shocked at the reception its gotten from critics.

The jab at Snyder films’ cinematography seems questionable. Generally the most agreed upon positive aspect of his films is how gorgeous and unique they look.

Your points don’t really make any sense. What part of the film suggests that democracy is a joke? I don’t recall there being any part of the film that even comes close to making that assertion.

I find The Raid 2's fight scenes are generally a lot better than the Raid’s, which is mostly just guns for the first third or so of the film.

Psycho Pass and Death Note are pretty safe choices for anime that don’t adhere to many tropes and tell a unique story. I assume people are familiar with Death Note, but Psycho Pass follows a rookie policewoman in a futuristic authoritarian society where a system exists that monitors the mental state of every citizen
