I think A Bug's Life is better than Antz. I don't get Woody Allen's appeal, so Antz left me cold for the most part. I don't dislike A Bug's Life, it just happens to be my least favorite Pixar movie.

My son watched Cars at least 10 times when he was younger. I fell asleep during the same part of the movie every single time.

I would love to see a creator own up to writing what they know instead of pandering, starting a round of the Oppression Olympics or pretending their experience is universal. That said, it would also help if diversity on TV didn't have to rest on the shoulders of Shonda Rimes.

I'm not asking AV Club to change - I wouldn't get my critical analysis of Masterchef anywhere else. Or knowledge of Dawes. But these reviews are like looking through a funhouse mirror sometimes.

These reviews are fascinating to me because when Chapelle's show originally aired, None of my white friends watched it and almost all of my black friends did. So, I only experienced it from a black point of view. I think I understand Dave a little better now and his frustration with people not getting the joke.

The first season of UK Kitchen Nightmares had a restaurant that wasn't even failing, just trying to get a Michelin star! I loved the UK version because it wasn't just about screaming and disgusting kitchens (although there was some of that), but pushing some of the restaurants a little bit higher.

Having fully intended to spend this entire movie in my happy place, I was shocked at how genuinely enjoyable this movie was. It wasn't art but my 11 year old agreed that it was the best of the series.

None of the contestants end up as Executive Chefs anyway. They get hired as sous chefs or get a fake title and still work for the actual Executive Chef. It's all for show.
