Give any artist better tools and he’ll be more likely to make a better product. If you give good artists crappy, dated tools, they’ll still do a decent job, but it won’t live up to its potential, aka Fallout 76 and Fallout 4.

I’ve just completed a playthrough of Fallout 3 the other month and 4 a couple months before, and significantly enjoyed 3 more than 4, so it’s very much not nostalgia.

Funny thing is people actually comment “Well she’s forgiven him, so ya’ll should just move on” as if that makes what he did okay.

Bingo. If they ever want have the success and popularity of games like Witcher 3, KotOR, etc, they need to double down on quality. Hell, I found that Oblivion and Fallout 3 was the closest they’ve come, but there was still so much room for improvement. Especially compared with companies with less money for development.

Much rather they made a new game based off of Guild Wars 1. Could never get into 2 because it didn’t give me the same feelings or interest me like 1 did.
