It always scares me when I 'forget' my password and they email me the original in plain text. It's now accompanied by a shutting of my account and an email to the webmaster. Idiots.

That's not hugely secure actually. I believe at modern cracking speeds, an 8 digit upper/lower case password would only take a couple of days to break. That's using a decent, optimised cracking computer. If they have any kind of grid set up, divide by lots.
