What, there’s no category for ‘game that managed to completely meet everyone’s expectations both positive and negative?’ No award for ‘game that contained not a single surprise’? Voted number one in the category of ‘sure is the kind of game you’d expect this company to make in 2023 without any internal shakeups or

Call me crazy but this marketing vehicle gussied up as an award show is not where I care to hear takes regarding Middle East conflicts.

Seems awfully meanspirited to go out of your way to call out one particular game in an already stacked year.

I see the appeal of using the ps5 controller but ultimately this would’ve been a buy for me if it worked with streaming.  Not allowing me to play BG3 while my kid plays Fortnite sucks but I get it.  Not letting me use it at all if he’s playing is a no-go.  I’d buy one at maybe $125 for being able to play in the bed

Considering that’s not even all of them, and the other major titles that have dropped in the past two months I’d say it’s pretty stacked

When is crossplay ever *not* a horrible experience for console players? On of the most surprising positives of this game was that it was actually off by default, meaning that lobbies without crossplay are actually populated. It’s an incredibly underrated point about the game.

For the anti-video folks:

You call him contrarian when you responded for the sole purpose of shitting on his choice to play the game. You’re such a fucking hypocrite.

There’s plenty of fine Arkane design cues in there. The exploration and map design is great.

Well. I, for one, think Dead Space is better than RE4, but you, for instance, seem to think otherwise. It’s time for a horror remake of the year cage fight.

The thing is, Kotaku likes fanning this kind of shit. Everyone in media does. It’s no different than the press clutching pearls about Trump’s threat to democracy, while covering him and his lies ad nauseum. The don’t actually fucking care, they just want engagement and clicks.

Thats because they seem to have some sort of quota to publish at least 6 Spiderman articles a day. I wish they cover gaming a little more broadly.

The industry really needs to get the fuck off of Twitter and social media. Same goes for the people writing this crap. Stop giving mouth breathers air.

Yeah the bugs are crazy this time around, myself and a couple of others commented on this in one of the other two dozen Spiderman articles posted in the last few days, it’s really bad. And also, the final act felt very rushed, and there are some glaring plotholes that you’ve just gotta roll with. The game is fun and a

I don’t see a single puddle so this must be a graphical downgrade.

it needs to not be widely available elsewhere

I’m going to buy it and I’m going to love it, but it’s also the kind of game that makes me look across my TV to the other side where my Xbox sits and makes me grateful for Game Pass, which is the perfect place for a game like this, that I’m going to play for 15 hours, beat, and then never touch again. At least that’s

Hardware refreshes traditionally have come with a price drop, not an increase, and the number of people buying discs is dropping with time, not increasing. The option to add a drive or not probably should have been there in the first place, it’s a nice option, but the average consumer that decides that digital only is

Can I use the disc drive with the existing digital model? If not, then their point stands, esp when the game is not even being read from the disc, it’s just there as a license during actual gameplay.

Jesus, it’s like a downgrade.
