Don't be afraid to build your own PC. Nowadays, literally ever piece is plug-n-play! I've yet to build my own, but I've got friends who are big into having the latest and greatest in PC hardware and they tell me it's very easy to put together.

I'm playing both games right now myself. When there's nothing to play but the stellar online MP in BF3, I see no reason you can't play Skyrim on the side. Unless of course you're talking about the campaign, which shouldn't take you longer than 10 hrs to complete.
