Not the best example, as I was just talking with someone yesterday about side mirrors becoming obsolete. Wide angle cameras and radar work much better, and (obviously) removing the side mirrors will allow better aerodynamics and designs overall.

Are these things Bluetooth or something different? It wasn't clear whether these will work solely with the iPhone 7

Not if multiple people are constantly weaving through traffic. It would be no different than if people were close and having to tap the brakes as the video shows

In reality if a gap is left in front, someone will often change lanes to fill it, negating the effect.

I’m not familiar enough with Chinese law to know how it was ratified there, but history suggests that it will be binding as long as the Party wants it to be binding. No more and no less

This is not a treaty, and therefore is not legally binding in the US. It’s and executive agreement, which can be reversed at any time.

Seemed like a hell of a concussion for a fast blaze. Still, I could see how it could be survivable, given the stresses the capsule would have to be designed to encounter in even a perfect mission

Anyone may arrange his affairs so that his taxes shall be as low as possible; he is not bound to choose that pattern which best pays the treasury. There is not even a patriotic duty to increase one’s taxes.

Reminds me the the Christmas special episode of Black Mirror. Obviously the only way Zuckerberg will get it to work right is to make a copy of himself and force it into servitude. Toast will be perfection

Yeah, I could definitely see that. I suppose if I did have to work in retail, that would be among the best places. At least some people will be interesting to talk to I would think

This is why I could never work in a retail store. I am generally an affable, polite person. But I cannot put up an act when someone is blatantly rude or malicious. It’s just not in my nature. If I try to, it will bother me all day.

No, our classification system is really not a joke. All politics aside, this aspect of the story is giving a lot of people in Government anxiety attacks, thinking that their employees might think this behavior is okay. It’s not okay.

No. Because that would mean that I just can’t trust the website to stick to their roots. What would be the point? If they want to go in the direction of creating another gawker, then that’s up to them, but I don’t think that’s what most Gizmodo readers want.

Are we going to be seeing even more political stuff on gizmodo than before, now that Gawker is dead?

The most insidious aspect of this is that the ride-sharing services are not permitted to list the fee to the customers. It presents a skewed view to the consumers, stacked with the fact that part of the fee will be going to the competition to catch up technologically (in theory; of course, they may just pocket it).

Well who wouldn’t complain if MSNBC were clogging their very limited programming choices. There is a reason why even the left doesn’t watch it consistently; just look at the numbers, they are abysmal.

Sounds great, as long as you don’t mind that the “simple” price that you refer to is a simply large figure.

Saltwater pools use electrolysis to turn the salt to chlorine. If done right, it allows you to precisely control chlorine. If you want low maintenance, it can help. However, there are limitations, and you will have to replace the plates from time to time, and they can run at $500-1000 for a home pool, so you have to

Actually, as moronic as their response has been, algae blooms certainly can happen that fast, at least visually (pools just look a little cloudy at first, but then quickly turn color). That’s especially true in warm water conditions, as is apparently the case in Brazil

I loved it when the manager there stated a couple of days ago that “we learned chemistry is not an exact science.” WHAT?! If I were asked to pick one science that was considered “exacting,” it would have been chemistry.
