It sounds like you're having a "noise" issue when the A/C motor and compressor kicks in. This may cost as much as the TV, but would fix the problem... A noise filter. I made the same exact jump... And, now that I've got the evo, the custom software... ect. I don't know that I could go back. I did love my Pre, though... They had such a solid phone, it just seemed like it was abandoned. Not much for software... we needed new hardware... and it just took way too long.
