Uh. No. I’m not going to ask them because if they say no I’m still gonna recline. Chances are the person in front of me is just going to use their seat as intended without asking me, too. And I’m going to claim my allotted space.

I’m small but have spinal issues so I’m gonna go ahead and recline so I’m not in agony. Your recourse is the airline’s complaint line.

I would say “I’m sorry, but I CAN do that. Perhaps you should ask to be re-seated.”

I’m short enough that lots of times my feet won’t go flat on the floor in those airplane seats. That isn’t any more comfortable than having a seat jammed against my knees.

The short person isn’t any happier with it, believe me.

I am at the point at age 42 where I’ve moved past being OK with men and now I just mostly think that men are trash and I don’t want anything to do with them.
