The C30 was the final vehicle on an old platform, so I imagine that’s why the interior wasn’t updated like the rest of Volvo’s lineup. I like that the metal trim is actually aluminum and not plastic. I get what you’re saying though; the minimalism isn’t for everyone. In 2006 I think the interior was fine for the time.…

Mine is a T5. The last couple years of C30 releases in Canada didn’t offer a different engine; there was a 2.4I4 base engine for the first few years here.

I’m admittedly biased since I am a Volvo owner, but I would happily throw myself into debt if they ever brought back the C30 with their current design language. Make the turbo 4 the base engine at about 200-240hp (similar to the I5 output of the last gen) and offer a PHEV option. Hell, I would even be happy with a V40…
