All I know is that I had friends that insisted you only needed vinegar to clean & disinfect & how those same people are stockpiling clorox wipe & lysol. They’re still antivax/antimask nut jobs but they’re houses have never been cleaner.

I have the plastic grinder (it was a gift) and I just grind the meat frozen in chunks or part frozen if I need to cut it up first.  It helps overcome the can’t get the plastic cold enough problem, at least well enough for me, not sure about the super serious sausage makers though.

A quick wipe with a disinfectant isn’t going to do a lot, they often require time to work, which means keeping the surface wet. I’d check the information on the pack to be sure.
