Wahl Mart might be more accurate, with his consistently low quality performances that attract the worst kind of people. 

It’s definitely more consistent in its fantasy world building than the movie, which is one of the most critically acclaimed pieces of garbage I’ve ever seen. The direction taken as more of a mystery/thriller is also a better fit, imo.

What you’ve said is valid, but I have to agree with op that something that has been endlessly duplicated online and is available for free doesn’t seem to have any value and it’s baffling anyone would pay anything at all for it. Power to the people getting rich off it, though

I maintain that the entity is not poisoned by one person who is bad at their job and holds deeply troubling, gross views. This isn’t the police force that has shown time and again racial bias, this is one employee that sucks in a giant corporation.
