Anyone unhappy with with their service from Ooma? I'm thinking of switching, but I've read some shady stuff about units going bad and terrible customer service.

"I don't have a microwave oven, but I do have a clock that occasionally cooks shit."

or a lifehacker cross-post that links back to a gizmodo cross-post about one of his new lifehacker posts. Those are the best. :/

Wow - I thought apple was just being a greedy whore but I guess the truth is the labels are to blame.

"AT&T's mobile data volumes surged by a staggering 8,000% from 2007 to 2010, and as a result, AT&T faces network capacity constraints more severe than those of any other wireless provider."

I see what you did there. +1

I paid at&t $200 to get off their crappy network, and they just follow me to a better one? :(

"There's no official Facebook app on Android" ... I think you mean iPad based on the post title?

I had the Apple EFI 1.8 update corrupt the files on my Patriot Torx SSD. Took me forever to figure out I needed to rollback to 1.7 - everything has been fine since. I've been using it for almost 2 years now and the lack of TRIM support hasn't been an issue for me.

I'm gonna say he was using Google Image Search to find that photo of Anne giving some guy a BJ on a yacht ;)

When they did this they also started to package the required firmware update with the driver CDs that came with any Airport that supported 802.11n - so you wouldn't need to pay the $1 if you bought a new router or access point

There are others too besides the full internet access...

Can anyone comment on the permissions this app needs? Call me paranoid, but does an alarm clock really need access to the phone, internet, and wifi state?

<3

hahahahah - what good are a 1000 minutes you can't use cause the network sucks?

+1

I'm ok with being shown ads. Once in a while something might interest me enough to click through, and the site deserves it for the work they put in.

Unfortunately, I think the new layout is specifically to accommodate short+lazy posts.
