@tinyboss: The sun doesn't go from east to west . . . the earth rotates from west to east.

@rimaturibrea: While I agree that you should work your way up to it, "heavy" is defined by your current max; in other words, it's relative, not absolute.

It's a cloffice!

Perfect! I hate having to turn off the sleep settings whenever I do overnight video encoding. (I always forget to re-enable sleep).

"Pocket" Thermometer? A 5-inch-long metal spike is not really something I'd like to put in my pocket. :)

@rzd: Uh, no, he couldn't. I'll let you figure out why, just think about it some more.

Linguistics. It gave me an enduring appreciation for the differences (and more importantly the similarities) in cultures, how they interact, and how they change.

@John Paul Velasquez: It doesn't stream live TV yet, but that's on the todo list. (according to their forums)

I'm assuming this doesn't work with encrypted (Cable Card) recordings. If it did, that would be epic!

@jeffk: If you set a master password in Firefox (which you should!), its password storage is also encrypted. See [luxsci.com]

@k-napped: Enabling both doesn't solve the inherent problem. Consider the following situation:

Be careful when using heat on bumper stickers. If you heat it up too much, you can melt the wax/paint, and scraping the sticker off too harshly might distort the paint job. (This happened to me on a used car I bought.)

@Chris Smith: I think it's the word "podcasting" that is not as mainstream as the concept that it represents: pre-recorded streaming online media (whether it's user-created or not). Not everybody is familiar with the former, but many, many people know about the latter.

@bigngamer: Libraries can aggregate data from folders on different drives, and even on different computers. As an example of how you would use it, let's say you wanted to move your "My Music" folder from the C: drive to the D: drive. Just create a folder D:\music, move the music files there, then add that folder to

@Sirpuddingfoot: Just like the web in general, the value these social apps depend on how you use them. Yes, some people will post that they just finished brushing their teeth. Don't follow those people, then. I personally use Twitter as I would an RSS news feed: I follow people and businesses who make informative,

I think people need to consider the whole reason they want to move their user folders. For most, it's an endpoint idea based on the limitations of previous versions of Windows. If all you want to really do is relocate data to a different hard drive or partition, the Windows 7 Libraries feature is the way to go.

The "year of the web" (1994) was my Freshman year in college. For the first few years, it was just a different distraction. Before it came around, I was distracted basically the same amount by TV.

@Ryan Kennedy: I've used DVD Fab before, but imo Ripbot264 + AnyDVD HD is a better solution.
