You know what's cool? The brake light comes on anyway! It's like they anticipated that issue and programmed for it!

The brake lights still turn on under regenerative braking my dude.

Dafuq? Have you ever used brakes? It’s the exact same thing, brake lights and all.

This seems like a no-brainer... Why spend millions developing an EV platform only to isolate it to a single vehicle? This and a dozen other electric GM cars should have begun development in parallel with the Bolt 3+ years ago; what took so long??

Is it me or do the goalposts for all these EVs keep moving? All of these automakers are promising dozens of new EVs, but they all seem to be 2 years out every time there’s an announcement. Yet nothing ever comes.

Ah HA... now THIS at least makes a bit more Supra-ish.  Wonder how long until someone tries to cram one of the Toyota UR series V8s in there?  8D

you know, every game is limited by design to get repetitive, but framing can make doing the same stuff intersting, and this looks like a smart use of lore to make an otherwise tiresome grind really cool. DE just keeps getting smarter.

What with all the Destinies and the Fortnites, I can’t express how glad I am that this indie staple of the multiplayer scene, that has persisted so long, is getting some Kotaku love. Glad you found it and are enjoying it form time to time, Ethan.

They jsut had a DevStream where they admitted the Warriors was a big reference point for this whole update.

Sounds like a sound business decision. Pick off the early adopters willing to pay more and ramp up production in year 1. Bring it to mass market in years 2+.

I think Tesla did a remarkable job of going from 0 to 400,000 sales in a short time. In an industry they had no experience in.

Tesla is going to lean on their battery, power generation, and charging systems as big chunk of their business I assume.

At least if you take Tesla’s stated mission from day one to be true, so long as the world transitions to EVs that’ll be a victory. They’ve been saying for a long time they couldn’t usher in that change alone, and half of their strategy was applying pressure to existing automakers and getting them to compete with them.

“There is ultimately nothing they do that cannot be done better for less money (i.e., more efficiently) by other car companies.”

Which is all you can preorder right now. No sign of any cheaper version. Sound familiar?

Tesla has better battery tech right now and in house battery tech at that. They dont need outside suppliers for that and that is their real advantage. Tesla can make as many Teslas as they want right now without having to fight for the maxed out global supply that all these others guys are.

In our internal Hooniverse slack we’re curious as TO WHY THERE’S A FACE IN THE GAUGE CLUSTER?!

Volvo is 100% the correct answer. All architects love Mid Century Scandinavian design, NO ONE DENIES THIS, and it will get pretty good gas mileage to boot.

As a fellow architect, I looked very hard at the S60's when shopping for a new car, just wasn’t quite right for me.

Having two kids should not necessitate needing a third row. Stop buying bigger than you need.

While I love that SOMEONE is making an engine like this, I just wish it was Toyota doing it. It’s like buying a 240SX with a nice turbo 4 that is all made by VW but sold by Nissan. It’s kinda the same.. but also very not.

I’m interested in what Nissans answer would be if this engine made it into the Supra. Currently
