It's easily observable. AC Unity has a lot more contextual animations than sunset overdrive. There's obviously more but there's definitely not enough to warrant an excuse.

To be fair, the assassins in AC have a ton of animations. If they wanted to go for different animations for female characters then it could take a bit of work. Not that much work though...
