I think it is worth mentioning; provided you actually have some proficiency with the applications. Most people list Excel but have no idea how to use 99.999% of its features. Since I know more than .001% of Excel, I list it along with some less common ones I've learned in school; namely Visio and Project.

Ditching Office is terrible advice. Where I work your application is run through a matrix, one of the many things the computer searches the applications for is Office (or the break down of Word, Excel, etc). You are going to lose points if it isn't on there.

Next to none based on my experience. Even of the people that can "use" Access less of have a basic understanding of relational databases, query structures and VBA coding to use it to its fullest extent. Most people that say they can usually mean they can push a button on a form in Access that someone else built.
