That is a $7-$9k motor new. It’s not reasonable to expect to pay only $2k to get it as an option package. Another way to get the V8 for $25k or so is to just wait a year and snatch up a CPO.

How about a 10-15k brz that comes with no engine and transmission, just some ls engine mounts.
