They’ve had practice is my point. Swinging a bat is swinging a bat. All you have to do is swing it as hard as you can and given the laws of probability and enough swings you will make solid contact with the ball eventually.

It is far greater preparation than anyone can have for jumping which is a purely physical skill that decades of practice cannot make you better at.

I think a sizable proportion of people (I won’t say majority) could make solid contact. There are 2.6 million kids in little league right now. That’s about 1 in 5 males between 9-12.
