The MPG figures are based on an unladen truck. Fill the tray or start pulling anything at all and the diesel will not only outperform but the MPG figures will beat that of any petrol motor.

It should be its own brand or possibly a Cadillac, or at least sold and serviced at Cadillac dealerships, in my opinion. The type of person who spents a premium amount of money ($100K+) on any car is going to expect a premium customer experience. They will not be thrilled with the typical Chevy dealership experience.
