The thing is, KOA tend to be located at convenient places, such as near freeway. They are definitely expensive and not “pretty”. But when you are travelling with no schedule, when the sky is getting dark, and $50 worth of jumbo shrimp that you marinated in the morning is going to spoil, KOA can be a good place.
