Thanks for posting this, Mike. The vigil was... Something completely unique - and it's still going on. Over 30 characters are AFK'd in front of our guild house now, and comments on the reddit thread are still coming in.

This is what I love about the game. The community is just what keeps me here. I too took part in the vigil, be it a bit late and not knowing who he was. I was surprised that I showed compassion towards a person I had never met even in-game.

Part of that is how we as players view a Beta. I always try to find ways to break the game when I play a Beta. Most people now a days just go for kills and say the game is too little content as if the Beta was the full game =_=
