They had an interesting role in the whole Annihilation series as inheritors of the Kree empire. Putting them back on Earth as mutant substitutes feels like a waste.

I personally feel they had a missed opportunity with Providence. If Cable's nation survived, it would have made an Avengers vs Mutants story work without dragging a lot of the other X-men's reps into the ground.
I wasn't the biggest fan of Spider-Girl but it was a hell of a lot more natural than what happened post OMD.
I liked Peter Parker, the father. Parker was great as a dad in RNV.
I personally wanted to see Peter Parker, father, husband and hero. All I have seen since OMD is a whiney Peter Pan. After this reboot, he looks like a Batman/Stark wannabe.
I wouldn't proud of that. He probably gave her herpes.
More like definitely so long as Quesada and his cronies have any say in it. Long term comic book relationships seem anathema to Marvel more than ever. The only one Marvel has left is Luke Cage and Jessica Jones but even that seems like an after thought. It is a shame since Renew Your Vows raised a lot of old fans'…
I find it hard to imagine them disappearing but then again, I find it hard to believe the F4 are gone for good.
I wouldn't discount it. The guy hit on Wasp not long after she divorced Hank Pym so it is definitely ingrained in his character now. Bendis hasn't been shy about putting Stark in flings either (i.e. w/ Gamora).
Stark has a history of trying to bed every pretty face he sees. I'd rather not see MJ become another notch in his belt.
I've stayed away from Iron Man in general since shortly after CW. The last time I enjoyed a comic with him in it was when Thor came back and "talked" to him about Clor.
I'm wary of Iron Man. The whole MJ moving into his series is a big red flag in my eyes.
Recycling older stories isn't any better. Just look at Peter Parker current love life. Some people may not have cared about the marriage but even less care about his new girl friends when you actually know for a fact that they are completely meaningless now.
It is similar to how they are pushing Stark instead of Parker nowadays. The problem is that people like RDJ's Stark in the movies but Stark has been written as an ass in the comics.
I wouldn't know. I started around the late '80s and even then, they had multiple mutant, Avenger and Spider-Man titles. The mid 90's were especially bad though in hindsight. The Heroes Reborn reboot attempt was just sad.
I'm sure Disney doesn't want FOX to succeed. I just feel that because of decades of recycling plot points and over exposure, Disney doesn't have to do much to let X-Men collapse as a brand.
I wouldn't place the blame entirely on the Disney/FOX feud. Marvel has been threatening the X-Men with extinction since their inception. These lackluster stories are just more symptoms of the publishers refusing to move on with a story and reusing a concept to death.
His work on "Thor: God of Thunder" with the God Butcher was alright. I preferred JMS though.
I gave the 8 comics a chance and found them wanting at best. The whole thing felt like the writers were trolling old Thor fans but the use of Absorbing Man as a straw man and the Titania surrender was pure crap. The only consistently good thing to come out of it was the art.
Jane Foster Thor is in this one? Skip.
