I gotta second this one.
I gotta second this one.
I remember McDonald's in Jamaica. Flame-grilled burgers made with local ingredients! Plus there was usually some kind of farm animal in the restaurant; usually a chicken, occasionally a goat. I miss living there..
I am trying to lose some extra weight right now, and while I'm doing the aerobic stuff, I have discovered that I LOVE lifting weights. It's fun, and I feel tougher/safer in general. I haven't been on a scale since my last doctor's visit back in the spring; who cares so long as I'm in shape?
Wendy's is my choice if I have to go fast food. They have some pretty good/healthy salads that they'll substitute whatever you want on, baked potatoes, and small burgers with actual fresh toppings. I know they had yogurt on the menu for a while, not sure if they still do, and while I don't know how healthy the chili…
My fiance owns about 50 pairs of underwear. This is really truly so he can wear a clean pair daily, but still avoid laundry for as long as possible. (I've managed to get him to part with some of it, since I actually like doing laundry so he always has a clean supply, but he's clinging to even the rattiest of the 50 or…
My fiance's mom has one she wears once in a while, and she's Argentinian. I think that the specific country there might make a difference, though...
The sticky honey thing with sprinkles is great though! (My fiance's family is Argentinian and I was introduced to sticky honey things this past year.)
Hey cool, I talked with the owner of this place earlier this year at my old job (business services provider). She was very nice and when asked for a description of the store, she said "Lingerie, aromatherapy...a women's store", a description that has stuck with me.
Men with lupus generally have a harder time than women, though, as it's pretty rare in men and a lot of treatments are estrogen-based or otherwise made for women.
My fiance's parents got divorced when he was in high school. His mom changed his last name to her maiden name and let him pick a new first name (his first name was the same as his dad's, and he kept his middle name which is what his whole family calls him anyway). His name was nearly unpronounceable to English…
Just go ahead and make fun of me now. I read a lot, I've read a lot of books that have made me cry, but if I even THINK too much about chapter 34 of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows I WILL start crying. It's been about a year since I read it last and I will still cry. It hits all the buttons for me for some…
Yeah, let's not bring Twitter into this. My Facebook is fine, but my Twitter is just swearing and Star Trek.
Makes sense now! We saw it yesterday and I was really pleased with all the female characters. Not at all what one expects from a comic book movie.
Yeah—I am a grizzled old PC gamer and have no problem with FPS games there, but hand me a controller and I'm screwed. The dual analogs definitely have a steeper learning curve, since the speed of movement doesn't seem (to me at least) to feel as natural when contrasted with the pressure you're putting on the joysticks.
Green and brown are my favorite colors, what the hell is wrong with me? (And I think of them as earthy and therefore feminine colors)
Yeah—that's an amazing shot and they both look great. The photographer should be proud for catching that.
Tribble condom holder = my new weekend project
We got 100 Durex for $20 or so from Amazon! It's a great condom-buying place.
My ex used to get horribly embarrassed and flustered buying condoms. I never cared...once on my birthday we had both worked late and the only place open near his apartment was a gas station with a window and speaker. He muttered out that he wanted condoms to the woman behind the window; she got a big grin on her face…
Yup, I did the same with a utility knife of all things—I used them a lot at my job at the time and I always had them in my purse and so on. They opened my suitcase to examine a candle I was taking as a gift, but missed the knife completely...
